History

Belgian tapestries have occupied an important place in our country since the dawn of time. They retrace the great world periods in the form of tapestries, cushions and bags entirely made in the region of Ghent. These are an integral part of the Flemish cultural heritage and the oldest date from the 1200s. Most of the tapestries have religious, mythological and historical themes as their subject. We regularly find there scenes of distant harvests and a lot of hunting scenes. All our Flemish tapestries are renowned for their quality and high resistance in terms of color. Don't leave Brussels without buying your Penelope treasure tapestry.
